Our Roofing Process
Remove
Remove any items that may get damage by roof removal
Install Tarps
Install tarps where necessary to minimize debris landing on yard
Tear
Tear off roof to bear deck and inspect deck to make sure it’s still in good condition.
Clean
Clean up yard from all debris, clean gutters, and roll yard with magnet for nails.
Install Ice and Water
Install ice and water to local buildings codes ( all roof eaves, chimneys, step flashing, sky lights, valleys etc…)
Install Underlayment
Install synthetic underlayment on all areas of roof.
Install Drip Edge
Install drip edge on eaves under ice & water on rakes above underlayment.
Starter Strips
Start with pre cut manufacturer starter strips on roofs perimeter.
Install Shingles
Install new shingles with 6 nails.
Replace
All roofing vents, pipe jacks, steep flashing will be new to last your new roofs life.
Ventilate
Finish off with the necessary ventilation for your new roof.
Final Step
Clean all debris of your property and run a strong magnet to pick up any nails left from the first clean up.
Done
Our foreman will walk the roof to make sure it was installed to Double R Roofing standards. The foreman will take final payment and provide you with your workmanship warranty paperwork.
Warranty
Double R Roofing offers a 5 years transferable worry free workmanship warranty on all roofing jobs! Most of the shingles manufacturers that we use offer a 40 year transferable warranty so rest assured you will be covered in the rare event something goes wrong.
